The BarrierGuard 800 has undergone extensive full scale testing and complies with BS EN 1317
containment levels H2, N1 and N2 and meets the standards for temporary steel
barriers under the Highways Agency document IRRRS Chapters 2 and 7.
Deflection tables taken from those tests are provided below:

The above deflection figures are achieved using a barrier anchored at each end.
The calculation for the deflections at different velocities was taken using the basic formula from BS6779
which states that
d2 = d1 / (V12 / V22)
where d is the deflection of the barrier and
V is the velocity of the impact vehicle.
